CERNO GeoPuck LED Status

Updated over 2 months ago

The CERNO GeoPuck is equipped with 3 LED status indicators, located adjacent to the USB-C charging port (Charging Status LED), as well as on either side of the Power Switch (Connectivity Indicator LED and Battery Indicator LED).

Please note: Both the Connectivity Indicator LED and Battery Indicator LED will turn White upon bootup. This indicates the GeoPuck is undergoing its normal boot sequence.

Charging Status LED:

  • OFF (No LED)

    • GeoPuck is not receiving power through the USB-C Port. Please check USB-C Cable or power source.

  • RED

    • GeoPuck is actively receiving power through the USB-C Port and charging.

  • GREEN

    • GeoPuck is actively receiving power through the USB-C Port and is fully charged.

Connectivity Indicator LED:

The Connectivity Indicator LED allows for the monitoring of the GeoPuck's connectivity to a nearby CERNO Controller and its locking onto GPS. The GeoPuck must be connected to both a nearby CERNO controller and successfully locked onto GPS to operate.

  • RED

    • No Connection to CERNO Controller nor GPS Lock.

  • YELLOW

    • Successfully GPS locked but has no connection to a CERNO Controller. Ensure a nearby powered on CERNO controller is available within a few meters of the GeoPuck.

  • BLUE

    • Connected to a CERNO Controller but is not locked to GPS. Ensure the GeoPuck is located with an unobstructed line-of-sight to the sky and oriented such that its serial number is faced downwards.

  • GREEN

    • Connected to both CERNO Controller and successfully GPS locked. The GeoPuck is fully operational.

  • WHITE

    • Undergoing Boot Sequence.

Battery Indicator LED:

The Battery Indicator LED is programmed to operate as a gradient between green, yellow, and red. These thresholds are indicative of the following battery states:

  • GREEN

    • 80-100% Charge.

  • YELLOW

    • 25-80% Charge.

  • RED

    • 0-25% Charge.

  • WHITE

    • Undergoing Boot Sequence.
